Even more impressive is the foyer, which has curved walls and an elegantly modern staircase.

Home of the Week: Apartments perched by Quincy boardwalk offer commanding bay view

To make it clear it belongs in this renowned Quincy neighborhood, developers of the Meriel Marina Bay apartment community expanded the boardwalk not only to reach the front door, but also to flow around the building like waves at a rocky point, dramatically expanding the public walk. One of the two buildings by developer Hines is complete and open ­— the north one. When the south building is unveiled later this year, there will be 352 apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom units.
