Less than a month after the Paris terrorist attacks, including one during an Eagles of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan concert hall, the band was given another chance to play in the City of Lights.

During U2’s show at the AccorHotels Arena Monday night, frontman Bono welcomed Eagles of Death Metal to share their stage.

“There’s nothing left but to introduce you to some people whose lives will forever be a part of the life of Paris,’’ Bono said, according to The New York Times. “They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago, and we would like to offer them ours tonight.’’

The two bands performed a rendition of Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power’’ together, and then EODM played their song “I Love You All the Time.’’

After the show, EODM took to Facebook to thank U2 for their support following the November 13 attacks. In the wake of the massacre, Bono had spoken with two EODM members, Julian Dorio and Jesse Hughes, to offer them the use of U2’s plane and to provide them with new cell phones, the Times reported.

“We want to offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for everything our brothers in U2 did for us in the aftermath of the November 13 attacks,’’ EODM wrote in the post. “They reminded us that the bad guys never take a day off, and therefore we rock ’n rollers cannot either…and we never will.’’
