Dashboard Cameras Capture Footage of TransAsia Plane Crashing in Taiwan

TransAsia Airways Flight GE235 carrying 58 people crashed into a shallow river in Taipei Wednesday, killing at least 25 and leaving 18 others missing, according to an Associated Press report.

Dashboard cameras from vehicles traveling on Taiwan’s National Freeway No. 1 captured the video of the ATR 72 prop-jet clipping the edge of an elevated roadway moments before careening into the river.

A TransAsia official told the AP that weather conditions were suitable for flying and the cause of the accident had not been determined.
