Gisele Doesn’t Hand Out World Cup Trophy, and Twitter Nearly Riots

The World Cup came to a thrilling conclusion Sunday afternoon, with Germany defeating Argentina 1-0 in extra time. But some fans on Twitter were unhappy they didn’t get a different kind of thrill when Gisele Bundchen was absent from the trophy presentation ceremony.

The Brazilian supermodel (and wife of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, as if you’d forgotten) was onhand at the start of the game, unveiling the trophy with Spanish soccer star Carles Puyol.

But apparently that wasn’t enough for Gisele’s fans, who demanded to see more of her at the end of the game. Here’s a sample of the tweets (at least, a sample of the ones we could republish on a family site):

So if you’re one of those people who can’t go four hours without seeing Bundchen, here’s video of her unveiling the trophy earlier Sunday afternoon.
