Satellite spots 300 objects in search for missing Malaysia Airlines plane
Thai officials today said one of their satellites spotted about 300 objects near the search area for missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370, the Associated Press reports.

The images were taken on Monday and are the latest in a string of new images that show objects that could possibly lead to the missing jetliner. Yesterday, a French satellite spotted 122 objects near the same area. Last week an Australian satellite and a Chinese satellite also spotted large objects near the same remote area in the Indian Ocean.
An international search effort has been underway since the plane carrying 12 crew members and 227 passengers lost contact during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8. Those searching for the missing plane have been battling weather, fatigue, and a vast search area that is far from land, making the seach a “logistical nightmare,’’ according to the Associated Press.
