After Brookfield police responded to a report Sunday night of a vehicle that had crashed into a snowbank, officers requested K-9 assistance to help look for the driver in the cold weather. K-9 Kato soon found a man lying face down in the snow a few hundred yards from the crash. The man was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, according to police.
