U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern will spend Thursday night at a Worcester homeless shelter in an effort to raise awareness of both the issue and the shelter’s work, according to a statement from his office.

Thursday night will mark the second time McGovern has stayed at the Interfaith Hospitality Network Homeless Shelter of Greater Worcester, the statement said. He is also the co-chair of a campaign to increase local investment in the shelter.
