Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton square off in sixth Democratic presidential debate

FILE - In this Oct. 13, 2015, file photo, Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, right, and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., speak during the Democratic presidential debate in Las Vegas. Taunted by Republicans to declare war on “radical Islamic terrorism,” Democrats are turning to an unlikely ally: George W. Bush. President Barack Obama, under pressure to be more aggressive on terrorism, regularly cites his predecessor’s refusal to demonize Muslims or play into the notion of a clash between Islam and the West. As Clinton put it, “George W. Bush was right.” And, Sanders visited a mosque this month in a show of solidarity that evoked Bush’s visit to a Muslim center just days after 9/11. The sixth debate between Democratic presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders will begin at 9 p.m. on Thursday.

It will be their first meeting since Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary where Sanders beat Clinton by more than 20 points.

The debate, hosted at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will be moderated by PBS NewsHour co-anchors and managing editors Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff.
