Man charged with motor vehicle homicide in fatal pedestrian crash on Route 9
A 33-year-old Hudson man has been charged in connection to a fatal pedestrian crash on Route 9 in Framingham Wednesday night.
Jason Theriault was arraigned Thursday in Framingham District Court and faces charges of motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol (second offence), according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
Framingham police responded around 8 p.m. to the crash on Route 9, at Prospect Street, that killed Patrick Stratton, 24, of Framingham, who was struck while in a crosswalk.
Theriault was at the scene when police arrived, according to the DA’s office.
Bail was set at $5,000 cash, and Theriault was ordered not to use alcohol or drugs and not to drive. He is due back in court February 9, according to the DA’s office.
