Two shot in Jamaica Plain, one in South End

Two men were shot in Jamaica Plain on Wednesday afternoon, and a third person was shot hours later in the South End, a Boston police spokesman told Boston.com.

Police could not say Wednesday evening whether the two shootings are related. All three victims are expected to survive.

Police received a call about the first shooting at 3:47 p.m. Shots were fired near 277 Centre St., the Bromley-Heath housing development, about a block away from the Jackson Square Orange Line station.

The victims were found inside a building with gunshot wounds to their leg and shoulder, respectively, according to police. Both victims, one in his 30s and the other in his 40s, were taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

The third person was shot at approximately 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of Mass. Ave. and Tremont Street, according to police. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center.

Police are actively investigating the shootings. As of Wednesday evening, no arrests had been made.
