Nelson, the puppy whose life was saved last week by surgeons at MSPCA-Angell, is now up for adoption.
MSPCA-Angell said the pup still needs another week or so of rest, but the agency is accepting applications for his adoption this week. Those interested in adopting the now 10-week-old Shar Pei-Pug can stop by MSPCA-Angell in Jamaica Plain between noon and 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday to fill out an application and speak with a counselor.
The foster family Nelson has been living with since his surgery last week says the pup is friendly, social, and would do well in a home with another dog or cat.
