Everett police arrest 19-year-old in connection with stabbing of high school football player
An Everett teenager was arrested on Wednesday in connection to last month’s stabbing of high school football player Marvens Fedna, Everett police said in a statement.
Osmin Murcia, 19, was arrested without incident, police said. He was charged with armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.
Fedna, a 16-year-old quarterback and running back for Everett High School, was stabbed in the back and hand at the corner of Broadway and Chestnut streets on November 1, hours after he scored a late touchdown that resulted in an upset win over St. John’s Prep.
Murcia was held without bail on Wednesday afternoon in Malden District Court and will return to court on December 4 for a dangerousness hearing, according to The Boston Globe.
