Herald: Missing toddler found naked with shaved head

A couple says the 2-year-old girl who went missing from her Hamilton home early Friday morning was found naked, her head shaved and bruised with a contusion “the size of a softball,’’ according to The Boston Herald.

Tom and Marge Crosby told the Herald they were driving to work when Tom spotted the girl by the side of the road in Rowley.

“Her color was good. She was just sitting by the side of the road shivering,’’ Marge Crosby told the Herald.

The toddler was reported missing by her parents around 7 a.m. She was found not long after, and was initially admitted to Beverly Hospital before being transported to Boston Children’s Hospital. An investigation into how the girl ended up 8 miles away from her home is underway.
