A woman made the day of the Boston Police Department with this gift
A Boston police officer got an unexpected gift Thursday while working a construction detail in Roxbury.
While the officer was directing traffic, a woman pulled over and handed him something wrapped in a newspaper, according to Boston police.
Inside the neatly wrapped paper, the officer found a hand-painted rock.
Police said the woman waited for the officer to unwrap the gift before shaking his hand and telling him, “Thank you for what you do.’’
The woman signed the gift only with “Ms. Lee,’’ and told the officer she makes similar gifts for police and firefighters to show her thanks.
On their website, the department had their own message of thanks:
Ms. Lee, we want to thank you for thanking us. This small gift clearly left a great impression on this officer, and you certainly made our day!
