Police say man pointed replica gun in road-rage incident in Medford

Massachusetts State Police

A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he pointed a replica gun at another driver during a road-rage incident in Medford.

The other motorist called 911 at 4:30 p.m. and told Medford police that a man in a Honda Accord had pointed a gun at her while they were on the ramp from I-93 north to Mystic Avenue in Somerville. She followed the vehicle until police stopped the Honda.

State police said the Honda’s driver, 20-year-old Gary Pimentel, of Charlestown, had a replica firearm with the orange tip painted black in his car. Pimentel was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct, according to police.
