Lanes reopened after multi-car crash on Route 128 southbound
The cars involved in the four-car crash on Route 128 southbound in Waltham earlier Friday afternoon were towed and travel lanes cleared around 3:15 p.m., according to Massachusetts State Police.
A state police spokesperson said the crash was caused by a rear-end chain reaction and one person was transported to Newton-Wellesly Hospital as a precaution because she was pregant.
There were no other injuries.
The multi-car crash closed two travel lanes earlier in the day.
