Sexual assault reported in Boston University dorm
Early Sunday morning, a female Boston University student reported that an unknown, college-aged man entered her dorm room and sexually assaulted her, according to an alert sent out to BU students later that day.
The student described the assailant as a white male around 5’8’’ to 5’10’’ with brown hair and a medium build. She told BU police he was wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved button down shirt and a down vest.
The man fled the dorm, known as StuVi 2, after the alleged assault.
BU police didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from Boston.com about whether a suspect has been identified, but Sergeant Larry Cuzzi told The Daily Free Press Sunday that the incident was under investigation.
Last spring, BU conducted a survey about sexual assaults on campus and published the findings this fall. The survey found that nearly one in four women—23 percent—were sexually assaulted during their time on campus.
