Bring your plants inside before Saturday night’s freeze

EPA / RALF HIRSCHBERGER

It’s time to bring in your potted plants.

The National Weather Service issued a freeze watch Friday afternoon for northern Connecticut, parts of Rhode Island, and non-coastal Massachusetts. The alert sent out by the weather agency warned of temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s from late Saturday night through early Sunday morning.

The agency warned that sub-freezing temperatures could kill crops and other “sensitive’’ vegetation.
