Local police cruiser struck by gunfire
The gunfire caused the cruiser to crash and catch fire.
A Millis police cruiser was struck by gunfire Wednesday afternoon, causing it to crash and catch fire, according to Massachusetts State Police.
State police are investing the shooting and said they were not aware of any injuries as of 4 p.m.
The shots were fired around 3 p.m. from a dark pickup truck, police said. The truck, which police said is possibly maroon, then fled the scene. A search for a suspect is underway, police said.
