Editor’s note: In 2015, Ryan Bonifacino was ordered to pay for the jet ski he crashed as well as $500 to the court’s victim compensation fund. He was never formally charged for breaking into a house. This story has been updated as part of Boston Globe Media’s Fresh Start initiative.

An Alex and Ani executive is accused of throwing a party in a Jamestown, Rhode Island beach house earlier this month. The only problem: The house wasn’t his, according to police.

Ryan Bonifacino, 31, of New York City, broke into a home on the posh island on the weekend of August 1 and used the house, food, and alcohol for a party that raged past dawn, according to a Jamestown police report. Bonifacino is listed as chief marketing officer and senior vice president of digital of the Cranston-based charm-bracelet retailer on his LinkedIn profile. Bonifacino and Alex and Ani did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

During the night, he and three guests took two jet skis from a neighboring home and headed for Newport, police said. On the way back, one jet ski collided with a rock, seriously injuring two of the riders.

When they did not immediately return, a fellow party-goer alerted the U.S. Coast Guard, who sent local police to the scene, according to the report.

That’ll put an end to any party.

The four riders piled onto one jet ski and headed back to the house where they were met by police officers. Bonifacino was charged with breaking and entering as well as misappropriation of a boat, police said. He is due back in court on Friday.
