Intersection where cyclist was killed known as dangerous
The intersection where a truck hit and killed a cyclist early Friday morning in Boston is known for its dangers, according to a report by The Boston Globe.
Between 2009 and 2013, there were 14 cyclist-involved collisions at the intersection of Beacon Street and Massachusetts Avenue in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, The Globe reported. The number of collisions at the intersection was higher than any other location in Boston during that time period.
Police located the truck and driver Friday night. A Boston police spokesman told Boston.com the investigation is ongoing.
Police say the victim was a woman in her 20s. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
