Plane crash in Wisconsin claims the lives of Boston-based father and daughter
Last fall, the Trustey family lost the oldest of their four children, AJ, unexpectedly at the age of 22. On Wednesday, tragedy struck the family for a second time when father Joseph Trustey and 18-year-old daughter Anna died in a plane crash in Wisconsin.
Trustey, 53, was a top executive at Summit Partners private equity firm in Boston, The Boston Globe reported. He often flew his own planes for business meetings and family trips. The two were traveling in the single-engine plane to look at colleges in Milwaukee when they crash landed at a small airport.
Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board are still investigating what caused Trustey’s plane to crash after he radioed in for an aborted landing, according to The Globe.
