Early Sunday morning, two men were stabbed in their necks outside the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house at Tufts University.

On Monday, Somerville Deputy Police Chief Paul Trant told Boston.com the department has identified a Tufts student as a person of interest and that they have spoken to that person.

So far, no arrests have been made, Trant said, and the investigation is ongoing.

After the incident occurred Sunday, Trant said in a statement: “It does not appear to be a random act, and parties involved are believed to be known to each other.’’

Both of the victims were transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, according to police. At the time of the incident, police said the 20-year-old male was seriously injured, and the 19-year-old male’s injury was not life threatening.
