Boston police sergeant cast on the newest season of ‘Survivor’
You can watch one of Boston’s finest take on a new beat this September.
Sgt. Bret LaBelle has been cast in the 33rd season of the reality show Survivor, Boston police announced in a statement Tuesday.
LaBelle, a member of the department for 18 years and a self described life-long fan of the show, will be one of 20 cast members fighting for this season’s first place finish and $1 million prize.
This season, which debuts Wednesday, September 21, at 8 p.m., will be a battle between a team of Millennials and a team of Gen-Xers, including LaBelle.
“I think I’ll win this game ‘cuz I’m extremely likeable and can relate to a lot of different people,” LaBelle said in a statement. “I can read people like a book. I can tell if someone is lying to me or telling me the truth from my 18 years as a police officer. I will lead people without them knowing I’m leading them.”
