The Massachusetts Senate passed a budget amendment Thursday which would ban employers from asking employees and job applicants for user names and passwords to their social media accounts, the Associated Press reports. Nor would employers be allowed to force employees to connect with them on social media.

It remains a good rule of thumb that any boss asking for permission to log in to your personal online accounts probably isn’t worth working for. That’s weird.
