Starting on June 23, all Boston teenagers (ages 13-19 years old) will receive a free summer membership to the 13 YMCA locations that are part of YMCA of Greater Boston.
The project is an ongoing joint effort by the YMCA of Greater Boston, led by CEO David Shapiro, and Boston Public Schools Superintendent Mary Skipper. The initiative, called “Get Summer,” aims to provide teenagers a safe and productive environment after school ends, they said.
Teens and families interested in learning more can visit their local YMCA for more information. The program will run throughout the summer until Sept. 2.
