Police identify victim in South Boston shooting
Boston police have identified the man shot to death Saturday night in South Boston.
Maurice Scott, 38, of South Boston, was found shot on Old Colony Avenue near Joe Moakley Park at around 10:30 p.m., police said. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police also said Tuesday they arrested Dwayne Diggs, 23, of Randolph, Dondre Snow, 22, of Dorchester, and Daquan Peters, 20, of Boston, in connection with Scott’s death.
Diggs and Snow were charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Peters was charged him with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a Class B drug, and intent to distribute a Class B drug, according to police.
Police arrested the three men after they stopped a car Saturday night that was seen fleeing the scene.
