NASA is asking schoolteachers to share photos of their students celebrating "HERstory in the making."
Maine native Jessica Meir will join fellow NASA astronaut Christina Koch for the first all-female spacewalk Friday morning at 7:50 a.m.
Koch and Meir are scheduled to replace a broken battery charger that failed after Koch and a male crewmate installed new batteries outside the space station last week.
NASA, meanwhile, is asking schoolteachers to share photos of their students celebrating “HERstory in the making.” The pictures might end up on the spacewalk broadcast.
