Watch this two-legged Boston robot stumble around in the woods

Up for a walk in the woods? Atlas is.

The “agile anthropomorphic’’ humanoid robot developed by Google-owned Boston Dynamics recently went for his first walk outside.

The footage of Atlas staggering through underbrush and across trails is both impressive and entertaining.

“Out in the world is just a totally different challenge from the lab,’’ said Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert at the Fab Lab 11 Conference and Symposium in early August. “You can’t predict what it’s going to be like.’’

It’s the first video Boston Dynamics has shared of one of it’s humanoid robots outside the lab, according to BetaBoston. But the company has already shown the world the adventures of their four-legged creations, like Spot, showing their talents outdoors. Not to mention their karate master bot “Ian.’’
