Watch: NASA releases new 4K video of experiment in space

Water, an effervescent tablet, and space?

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you mix an antacid tablet with water in microgravity?

Even if you haven’t, NASA has you covered.

A new 4K video from the space agency shows what happens. And it’s pretty cool:

The astronauts on the International Space Station made the video to test out their RED Epic Dragon camera – a camera capable of filming in 6K, used to film recent blockbusters like Jurassic World and Avengers: Age of Ultron. The camera can record images in four times the resolution of typical high-definition cameras, according to a statement on NASA’s YouTube page.

“The higher resolution images and higher frame rate videos can reveal more information when used on science investigations, giving researchers a valuable new tool aboard the space station,’’ NASA said. “This footage is one of the first of its kind.’’

NASA released its first 4K video in June.
