Members of the Massachusetts congressional delegation reacted to the news Friday that President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for the coronavirus by sending wishes for a full recovery and issuing reminders about the dangers of the virus to the public.
“This is another stark reminder that no one is immune from COVID-19,” Rep. Lori Trahan said.
The politicians urged that people continue measures to prevent the spread of the virus, pleading with everyone to wear masks.
Rep. Joe Kennedy III’s message was blunt.
“Wear a god damn mask,” the congressman wrote on Twitter.

A COVID-19 diagnosis is an awful thing that far too many Americans have had to confront—including 200,000 who have tragically died. I wish the first family a quick recovery. I’m praying for our country. Please, please, please wear a mask, keep your distance & stay safe America.
