Elizabeth Warren went on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ and took a selfie with Miley Cyrus
Sure, why not?
Elizabeth Warren is usually the most animated character in the room. However, she may have been second in that category Tuesday night.
The Massachusetts senator appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” along with singer and actress Miley Cyrus, who was, among other things, promoting her new shoe and clothing line for Converse. Following a typically colorful appearance by Cyrus, Warren’s interview began with Kimmel jokingly re-gifting the senator one of the pink Converses.
“From a good Massachusetts company,” Warren noted.
The senator went on to talk about her family background, assail the recent comments by Consumer Finance Protection Bureau interim director Mick Mulvaney, and reiterate that she’s not running for president.
“I’m running for Senate,” she said. “Massachusetts 2018.”
Warren also posed for a photo backstage with Cyrus, which — despite her protestations otherwise — led the show’s Twitter account to joke: “Tonight we’ll decide which one of these two gets the 2020 Democratic nomination for president!”

During the interview, Warren explained to Kimmel that she was in Los Angeles to visit her grandchildren. And according to the 68-year-old senator, the appearance with Cyrus certainly helped her grandma cred.
