‘You were gone that day’: Seth Moulton references his time with Marines after Michael Flynn charged
Congressman Seth Moulton made reference to his time as a Marine Friday after news broke that former national security advisor Michael Flynn would plead guilty to lying to the FBI.
“When I was training to be a Marine at Quantico, you could fail a test, or drop out of a run, and you’d get a second chance,” the 39-year-old veteran wrote on Twitter. “But if you lied – about anything – you were gone that day.”

But if you lied – about anything – you were gone that day.

Today’s confession is damning. Moving forward, we need to continue to protect the independent investigation.
Let me be clear: it would be unacceptable for @POTUS to take any action that impedes the Special Counsel’s investigation.

The Salem Democrat, who served on several tours as a Marine during the Iraq War, has long been outspoken about Flynn’s appointment in the White House.
Flynn concerned about “unfair prosecution.”🤔 Never seemed worried about that when rolling out EOs unfairly prosecuting Muslims & immigrants. pic.twitter.com/hrvxAcx067

It would have endangered our national security to appoint him a White House intern. Trump & Pence appointed him NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR. https://t.co/FzyR8EtIWp

Moulton wasn’t the only member of the Massachusetts congressional delegation reacting to Flynn being charged as part of the investigation into possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia to influence the 2016 election.
Michael #Flynn in court is big news but let’s not forget the Senate is voting TODAY on the #GOPTaxScam that would make working families, students, and the middle class pay for tax breaks for the ultra wealthy and massive corporations. Stay engaged!
