Melissa McCarthy returns to SNL as Sean Spicer to apologize for those Hitler comments

"I clearly meant to say concentration clubs."

In the “spirit of cultural unity” this Easter, Melissa McCarthy returned to Saturday Night Live for another rendition of her acclaimed portrayal of Sean Spicer and tried to make amends for the White House press secretary’s mistaken comments about the Holocaust during Passover last week.

It wasn’t exactly an apology.

“It would be really great if the nitpickers could try to see the big picture and didn’t solely focus on every little slur and lie I say,” said Spicer, who — as he was at the 2008 White House Easter Egg Roll — was dressed as the Easter Bunny.

“And P.S., I’d like you also to know I am sensitive to the fact that they were sent there on trains,” Spicer continued. “But hey, at least they didn’t have to fly United, am I right?”

After explaining Passover — “aka Jewish Easter” — using props, Spicer proceeds to ram through the White House podium with a Easter egg golf cart.

Reminder: McCarthy is scheduled to actually host SNL on May 13.
