Despite their bitter campaign, Clinton—who was in the crowd beside her husband, former President Bill Clinton—tweeted that she was attending “to honor our democracy & its enduring values.”
I’m here today to honor our democracy & its enduring values. I will never stop believing in our country & its future. #Inauguration

As many observers noted, Clinton was wearing all-white, as she did during key moments of her presidential campaign, including after securing the Democratic nomination, during her nomination acceptance speech, and during the final debate.
Hillary Clinton is wearing power white today, as she did on key nights during the campaign, and in tribute to suffragettes
