Bryan Cranston crashes Saturday Night Live to mock Donald Trump’s cabinet picks

Walter White as DEA head?

Despite his tweets, Saturday Night Live continues to kick off the show by taking aim at President-elect Donald Trump.

This time, they did it with the help of a special guest: Bryan Cranston.

In a mock CNN interview—as former campaign manager Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon) defended Trump’s “alt-good” cabinet appointments—Cranston reprised his famous Breaking Bad character Walter White.

With Trump’s real-life appointments catching criticism for their hostility toward the departments they’ve been tapped to run, SNL cast Cranston’s fictional high school teacher-turned-meth dealer as the nominee to lead the Drug Enforcement Administration.

“He came highly recommended by Steve Bannon,” McKinnon as Conway said, to which CNN host Jake Tapper (Beck Bennett) inquired, “Where did Mr. Bannon find you?”

“The comment section at Breitbart,” White said, referring to the Trump advisor’s controversial website. “And I’m really surprised he tracked me down because I’ve been trying to lay low for awhile.”

And it wouldn’t be a true Cranston cameo without the show setting him up for his iconic Season 4 quote.

“Walter is actually a genius with chemicals and we’re so lucky to get him,” Conway said. “The top companies in the country had been knocking on his door for years, but he never answered.”

“Well, I am the one who knocks,” White said.
