Baker, at odds with Warren, comes out in support of medical innovation bill
Governor Charlie Baker expressed support Friday for a sweeping $6.3 billion federal bill aimed at boosting medical innovation, putting him at odds with Senator Elizabeth Warren, who claims the bill has been hijacked by greedy pharmaceutical companies.
Baker is staking out support for the bill at the urging of the Obama administration, which asked the Republican governor to take a stance after Warren expressed her opposition earlier this week, according to Baker aides.
