Mitt Romney and Donald Trump have not been on the friendliest of terms during the last year or so.

But the two men appeared cordial Saturday outside Trump’s golf club in New Jersey, where Romney was scheduled to meet with the Republican president-elect. Vice president-elect Mike Pence, fresh off his night seeing Hamilton, was also in attendance.

According to some reports, Romney was there to discuss the possibility of being Trump’s secretary of state. Others described it simply as a “healing meeting.”

“Mr. President-elect, how are you, sir?” Romney said to Trump upon arrival, according to The Boston Globe.

Trump responded with, “How are you, sir?”

Compared to the names Romney and Trump called each other earlier this year, “sir” seems like a pretty fresh start.
