Massachusetts Democrats heading to New Hampshire for Clinton
BOSTON (AP) — It’s the weekend before a presidential election and that can mean only one thing in Massachusetts: Top Democrats are heading north to help turn out the vote in New Hampshire.
Among those planning to stump for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Saturday are U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Edward Markey, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and U.S. Reps. Seth Moulton, Katherine Clark and Stephen Lynch.
The Democrats are also hoping to encourage voters to cast ballots for Democrat Maggie Hassan, who is trying to oust incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte in one of the tightest and most closely watched Senate races in the country.
New Hampshire and its four Electoral College votes are proving key to Clinton and Republican Donald Trump in a narrowing path to the presidency.
