Mayor Walsh on making Trump’s insult list in New York Times: ‘Thank you very much Donald.’
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh shared how he felt Friday about being including in the database put together by The New York Times of the places, people, and things insulted on Twitter by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.“I was very excited about that, that was great,” Walsh told Boston Public Radio hosts Jim Braude and Margery Eagan during his monthly appearance on the program. “I guess I can check another thing off the bucket list,” Walsh said. “Thank you very much Donald.”For the Boston mayor’s inclusion on the list of 282 people and things mocked by Trump, the newspaper referenced a 2015 tweet by the real estate mogul over Walsh saying he would not support Boston’s 2024 Olympic bid.
Boston’s Mayor Walsh wasted a lot of time and money on going for the Olympics, and then he gave up. I don’t want him negotiating for me!

Trump took another jab at Walsh later that summer, after the mayor challenged Trump to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, telling press in New Hampshire: “He’s a clown, Marty Walsh.’’
Walsh endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton last November and is campaigning for the former secretary of state in battleground states ahead of the Election Day.
