Fighting for a chance at the state’s four electoral votes, Donald Trump will be back in New Hampshire on Thursday.

The Republican presidential nominee will hold a rally at Laconia Middle School, in Laconia, according to the campaign. The event is officially scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 4:30 p.m.

Roughly 14 months ago, last July, Laconia hosted one of Trump’s first campaign rallies as a presidential candidate (this New York Times write-up of the event is prescient).

As NHPR’s Josh Rogers notes, the campaign is asking supporters to leave any homemade signs or banners at home Thursday.

Trump has been a frequent visitor to the Granite State this summer, including campaign speeches in Manchester and Windham last month.

Recent state polls show the race anywhere between a double-digit lead for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and a virtual tie. As of Tuesday afternoon, FiveThirtyEight’s polls-only forecast gives Clinton about a 70 percent chance of winning the state, which has voted for the Democrat in each of the last three presidential elections.

Trump, however, powered by the state’s large majority of white voters, won the state by a wide margin in February’s presidential primary.

The rally comes the same day as Sen. Tim Kaine, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, who will be campaigning in the Seacoast region, with stops in Portsmouth and Exeter that afternoon.
