The Sudbury native said he isn’t “anti-gun,” but that he believes “certain weapons should only be in certain hands.”
Healey responded to Evans tweet, thanking him for standing up for “#gunsense.”
Chris your support means a lot to us, thanks for speaking up for #gunsense. We #StandWithCap🇺🇸 https://t.co/qliztqKDzU

This isn’t the first time Evans has spokin out about gun reform. During the House Democrats’ gun control sit-in in June, Evans tweeted that he was proud of the politicians’ efforts and that the country needs “common sense gun reform.”

Healy announced the enforcement of Massachusetts’s ban on July 20. Hundreds of gun owners rallied outside the State House in July to protest her decision.
