An ‘Elizabeth’ who likes to tweet about Donald Trump had a cameo in ‘Doonesbury’
Who could it be?
isn’t the only cartoon that featured Elizabeth Warren—and her tweeting habits—this week.
The Massachusetts senator was featured in Garry Trudeau’s long-running political comic Doonesbury on Sunday.
Though Warren’s full name is never used, a character named “Elizabeth,” known for tweeting about Donald Trump, tries to get Joanie, a longtime political operative and lawyer, to join her efforts against the Republican nominee.
And this isn’t the first time the fictional character has interacted with Warren: She worked on Warren’s 2012 Senatorial campaign and reviewed her speech at the Democratic National Convention.
Warren tweeted about her cameo in the cartoon Monday, saying she’s “delighted to have Joanie back on the team.”
Delighted to have Joanie back on the team. @realDonaldTrump is a real threat and we need her. https://t.co/4qjn0DgQ59
