Clinton’s emails show how D.C.-style sucking up works
The newest round of Hillary Clinton’s released emails has offered an insight in the day-to-day flattery and brown-nosing that permeates American politics, The Boston Globe reports.
Emails in Clinton’s private server contained compliments which ranged from all-caps “FANTASTIC’’ and “SUPERB,’’ the Globe reports. One fan got so excited at the opportunity to compliment Hillary, they forgot how to use words properly: “Since your appearance on the scene, things have caught amazing speed and vertigo.’’ Maybe that last one’s actually an insult?
According to the Globe, the kissing up didn’t end with star-struck fans. Even high-flying Washington executives got in on the action.
