Scott Walker gets burned with fake check at New Hampshire pizza shop
Scott Walker’s campaign might want to stop visiting restaurants.
While visiting Theo’s Pizza & Restaurant in Manchester, New Hampshire on Monday, the Wisconsin governor stopped to pose for a picture with two young, enthusiastic supporters. Or so he thought.
According to The Guardian, 23-year-old Tyler McFarland held a sign that said “Walker 4 president.’’ But as the photographer lined up the shot, McFarland flipped the sign.

The other side of the sign was a giant, fake $900 million check, addressed from the conservative mega-donor Koch brothers to Walker for the presidency.
Charles and David Koch, billionaire industrialist siblings that have formed an expansive network of political organizations, announced plans this year to spend $900 million for the 2016 elections, according to The New York Times.
“I’d like to present you with this check from the Koch brothers for climate denial,’’ McFarland, an organizer for environmental group 350 Action, told Walker, The Guardian reported.
McFarland told The Guardian he wanted to draw a contrast between Walker, whom he “the most dangerous candidate on climate change’’ and Monday’s climate change plan by President Barack Obama to cut carbon emissions from U.S. power plants by nearly a third by 2030.
Walker criticized the Clean Power Plan as “unworkable’’ in a press release Monday.
“President Obama’s plan should be called the Costly Power Plan because it will cost hard-working Americans jobs and raise their energy rates,’’ Walker said.
Monday wasn’t the first time Walker ran into trouble at a restaurant along the campaign trail. Last week in Philadelphia, Walker visited both of the city’s famous cheesesteaks rivals, Pat’s and Geno’s, where he was photobombed by protesters and criticized for leaving an unfinished cheesesteak unattended at his table.
At both spots, he ordered his cheesesteak with no onions and with American cheese, instead of the customary Cheese Whiz and onions order (wiz wit).
