Ted Cruz’s JFK impersonation could use some work
Sen. Ted Cruz channeled his inner thespian with an acceptable but overall lacking impersonation of John F. Kennedy during a campaign stop in Andover, Massachusetts this weekend.
“As JFK said, ‘Some men see things as they ahh and ask why,’’’ Cruz, the Texas politician and Republican presidential candidate, told a crowd of cheering supporters. “I see things that never wahh and ask why not.’’

Cruz attributes the quote to John F. Kennedy, who cited a similar line written by Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw. But the quote is most often attributed to Robert F. Kennedy, and it was also used by Ted Kennedy during his eulogy for Robert.
Cruz, who honed his acting skills in a Harvard Law School production of “The Crucible,’’ also said JFK would be a Republican if he were around today.
“There is no room for John F. Kennedys in the modern Democratic party,’’ Cruz said.
