Relatives of a Boston man who was fatally shot in Dorchester Saturday are remembering the 34-year-old for being a loving father to his two children.
Boston police say Dwayne Keon Thomas was killed near 39 Hartford St. in Dorchester on April 28 and that they are continuing to investigate his death. Commissioner William Evans has said investigators are trying to determine a motive for the shooting and the department is encouraging the public to come forward with any information.
“He will be forever missed,” Thomas’ loved ones wrote in his obituary.

Thomas, Dwayne Keon, of Boston passed tragically on April 28, 2018. He leaves his loving parents Dwayne “Gannie” Thomas and Alvenia Reeves both of Boston.
He was a loving father to Damari A. Thomas and Asha S. Thomas. He leaves his brothers Dwayne A. Beech and Brian Thomas, his only sister Latanya R. Thomas.
He will be forever missed by his maternal grandparents Clara and Alton Reeves, paternal grand mother Lenora Johnson and predeceased by his paternal grandfather LC Thomas.
He also leaves eleven aunts, five uncles and a host of other relatives and friends to cherish his memories.
Visitation with family on Friday, May 11, 2018 from Morning Star Baptist Church, 1257 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan, MA 02126.
Celebration of Life Service will start at 11 AM also from the church.
Private interment will be held with St. Michael Crematory, Roslindale, MA.
