Read the obituary for lifelong Easton resident Gregory Glavin
The 35-year-old, who was reported missing in February, was found dead on Thursday.
An Easton man, whose remains were found Thursday after he went missing for weeks, is being remembered by his loved ones for his devotion to his family.

Gregory Glavin.
Gregory Glavin, 35, was found Thursday under a camouflage tarp with his moped in a wooded area in Easton by a K-9 officer.
Glavin’s mother, Helen Glavin, told the Brockton Enterprise that she had a feeling her son would be found in the wooded area near Wright Farm. He went to the area often to hang out with friends and had gone out there a little over a year ago to hide when he was frightened after an argument, she said.
“Gregory knew that area like the back of his hand,” she told the newspaper. “He has been going there since he was 6-years-old.”
Helen Glavin suggested to the Enterprise that her son might have been in the wooded area hiding from someone again.
“I think someone knows something,” she said. “I think someone knows something about his death.”
Authorities say foul play is not suspected.
Glavin graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 2001 before attending Peterson School for Electrical. He was a self-employed licensed electrician with his own business, Greg Glavin Electric of Easton.
He was last seen on the morning of Feb. 17, when he left his girlfriend’s home in North Attleborough and stopped to fill up his moped at a gas station, according to the Enterprise. Security footage from a nearby home later captured him entering Wright Farm.
Police searched for him at Wright Farm and Wheaton Farm, but it was a volunteer search and rescue unit the Glavin’s contacted for help that found the 35-year-old’s remains, according to the newspaper.
“Greg was devoted to his family and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, auto mechanic repair and the faithful company of his dogs Haylee and Keko,” his family wrote in his obituary.
Glavin’s relatives said the 35-year-old’s funeral services will be private but donations in his memory can be made to the Massachusetts Rescue and Recovery K9 Unit.
