The family of a 22-year-old student at University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medicine who died after being stabbed at the Winchester Public Library on Saturday is asking that expressions of sympathy be made in her memory to her temple or music programs in the town.

Services for Deane Kenny Stryker, described by her family as a “devoted daughter” and “loving sister,” will be held Thursday in Winchester, followed by a private interment, according to her obituary.

Deane Kenny Stryker, 22, tragically entered eternal rest on February 24, 2018. Devoted daughter of Michal Kenny & the late Timothy Stryker. Services at the Winchester Unitarian Society 478 Main Street, Winchester on Thursday March 1 at 1:30 PM. Interment will be private. Condolence calls may be made at the Kenny residence on Thursday evening from 7-9PM and Saturday evening from 7-9PM with a Minyan service at 7:30PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Deane’s memory may be made to Temple Shir-Tikvah 34 Vine Street Winchester, MA 01890, Winchester Community Music School 407 Highland Avenue Winchester, MA 01890, or the Winchester High School Music Department 40 Samoset Road Winchester, MA 01890.
