Patriots give custom jersey to Walpole woman on her 110th birthday
She also received a birthday letter from President Barack Obama.
Alice Fischer celebrated a milestone birthday Wednesday, making her the oldest living resident of Massachusetts at 110 years old, according to The Boston Globe.
Fischer celebrated her birthday at a nursing home in Walpole, with 30 of her closest family members and friends—and Pat the Patriot, the New England Patriots mascot.
For her birthday, the Patriots gave the supercentenarian a custom jersey to the with her name, and the number “110’’ on the back, the Globe reported.

Fischer also received commemorative birthday letters from President Barack Obama, state legislators, and the children of Walpole public schools, in addition to a traditional golden cane given to the state’s oldest residents, according to the Globe.
Fischer was born in 1905 in Manchester, New Hampshire, before moving to Westford, Fall River, and finally, Walpole.
She told the Globe her secret to a long life is “working hard.’’
